1) What is needed to honor Brian Keith with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Walk of Fame Committee reviews hundreds of nominations each year (in June) for induction into the Walk of Fame.   We are thrilled to report that our nomination was accepted this year, and Mr. Keith has been selected to be honored on the Walk of Fame!  In addition to the selection process, however, the Chamber of Commerce requires a $25,000.00 sponsorship fee upon acceptance of the nomination.  This money is required to pay for the creation and installation of the star, as well as maintenance of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  For more information regarding procedures and ceremonies, visit the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's website.  The official announcement of 2008 honorees can also be found on their site here.
 
 
2) How will the S.T.A.R. contributions be used?
Money contributed to the S.T.A.R. for Brian Keith fund will be used first to pay the $25,000 fee required by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. We have recently learned that it is a Hollywood tradition to have a reception for family and friends following the installation ceremony; any overages received after the fee is paid will be used to help defray Mrs. Keith's cost for the celebration.  Any contributions above and beyond the fee and celebratory event(s) will be donated to a charitable organization in Mr. Keith's honor.  We are currently in discussions with Mrs. Keith to determine a suitable organization.
 
 
3) What happens to the money if Mr. Keith is not selected to receive a star in 2008?
Happily, Mr. Keith has been selected as a 2008 honoree.  Contributions to the S.T.A.R. for Brian Keith fund will be held "In Trust" until we reach the required amount and an installation ceremony can be held.
 
 
4) Is the contribution tax deductible?
No.
 
 
5) Now that Mr. Keith has been chosen, when will the star be awarded?
Brian's star will be installed on June 26, 2008, at 11:30 am PDT.  An exact location on the Walk will be determined at a later time, and we'll keep you posted here with information as it becomes available.  We hope to see many of his fans at the ceremony.
 
 
6) Is there a minimum amount that must be contributed?
No. All contributions are appreciated.
 
 
7) How can I make my donations?
You may mail a donation by personal check or money order, or pay electronically via PayPal.  If you prefer to use a credit card, the donation must be made through PayPal, as we are not currently set up to process credit cards by mail.  Please visit the Fundraising page for all the information.
 
Also, we love our International contributors, but we would ask that you ensure your donation is sent in US currency.
 
 
8) How can I receive updates regarding the S.T.A.R. for Brian Keith?
